Are you FRUSTRATED with your local printing service?

As a customer, you deserve the absolute best quality, the lowest price and the fastest service!
That's a given. The problem is that, on any project (especially when there is design involved), all three rarely happen together without their flaws. What happens when you go into your local printing service wanting the best product at the cheapest price while you wait? Things get rushed, mistakes get made, simple typos get overlooked, address and phone numbers get reversed, blaring errors occur, deadlines potentially get missed, reprints happen and printer/customer relationships can potentially get tainted or damaged. Haste makes waste! Nobody wants this. You, as the client, want a trusted outlet to get your printing done and the printer definitely wants to keep their valued clientele around. Another thing that could potentially happen is that the great price you paid last time has now been increased. How is that fair?

Does this mean that your rush orders will never get met on time or your prices will never be consistent? Not at all. It just means that you may have to take a simple rule into consideration:

GOOD/FAST/CHEAP: PICK 2
You can have fast and good service, but it won't be cheap
You can have good and cheap service, but it wont be fast
You can have cheap and fast service, but it wont be good

There is hope for compromise!
Perhaps you can arrange some terms and conditions with your printing service regarding the proofing processes, turnaround times and pricing structure. This will help lay the foundations of trust and clarity in the relationship between you and your printing service. In every successful relationship, communication is the key.
